HOW MUCH NOTICE DO I NEED TO GIVE TO BOOK A REMOVALIST?

This is different for every customer, but typically, we suggest allowing around 1-2 weeks' notice to ensure we can provide you with the best service possible.

For moves out of major cities, we usually have a truck in each city 1-2 times per week at least, often more. So there is always another option available soon.

For moves from more regional locations, due to the frequency with which we service the capitals, we are often in most regional hubs at least once per week.

If you already have a quotation, please reply to it with your pickup and delivery addresses, and we can confirm our soonest availability. If you need to confirm a price for your move, please visit our quote page to submit your details.

WHEN TO BOOK A BACKLOAD?

The more notice you can provide, the better. As a minimum for customers, we would suggest around 2-3 weeks' notice to ensure we can do the dates you need.

However, we are always happy to tackle any urgent moves. We often move customers with as little as 2-3 days notice.

HOW TO TRANSPORT POT PLANTS WHEN YOU MOVE INTERSTATE

If you choose to move pot plants with your furniture there are certain regulations that must be obeyed.

Also be sensible when preparing plants to be moved, do not water them for a few days prior, be selective, and try to keep them to a bare minimum.

Pot plants in clay pots are notoriously bad at moving on trucks as the weight of the soil tends to break the pots. You may be better off ditching the plants and keeping the pots, cleaned of course.

Check with your destination states department of Primary industries regarding specific plants

SHOULD I USE PLASTIC COVERS FOR BEDS AND LOUNGES?

Yes, we always recommend you wrap your upholstered furniture in plastic covers, as even when they are wrapped in our removal blankets they can often get dirty whilst inside a truck.

SHOULD I EMPTY ITEMS FROM FURNITURE WHEN MOVING INTERSTATE ?

There are many reasons that you should not leave items in drawers or cupboards when moving interstate

  • You run a high risk of damage occurring to your drawers
  • There is the possibility of your belongings falling out and getting lost
  • The item becomes far too heavy to move safely

If you are looking for our professional opinion, we do not suggest it, but we also understand that some people do it anyway.

HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY BACKLOAD MOVE?

Once a booking date has been confirmed, all that is required is to process a deposit to secure the date.

Alternatively, you can also pay via bank transfer.

All the initial options are available for the balance payment, along with providing the driver cash.

DO I NEED REMOVAL INSURANCE?

Moving furniture long distances on trucks or via rail means there is always a higher risk of damage to your belongings than if they are sat in your home.

WHAT SIZE IS A BOOK BOX

Book cartons are 400 * 300 * 430.
All measurements are in mm

This box is the smallest of the standard-sized boxes, and because of that it is the ideal choice for packing heavy items and small items

WHAT SIZE IS TEA CHEST CARTON ?

Standard removal cartons are approx 650 * 450 * 450

This box is particularly useful for packing bulky but light items such as clothes, shoes, bed linen and cuddly toys you’ve yet to grow out of.

CAN YOU DISMANTLE AND REASSEMBLE MY ITEMS?

We are happy to assist with dismantling and/or assembly if required. However, please note this must be arranged in advance to ensure we bring the correct tools.

Do you price match competitor quotes?

We will try to beat any written price on any more.

We find we are very competitively priced across the board but will always have another look to see if a competitor can make the same move at a better price.

If you want us to match a competitor's price, please reply to our quotation and provide the written quote; please ensure the email you send includes the list of items so we can be sure we are quoting the same job.

Why should I complete an inventory list?

If you go through the process of submitting an inventory list, then the chances of an incorrect quote substantially drop. We can be much more accurate when we know precisely what items we are moving. However, we understand this cannot be easy to get perfect.

Even if you can submit an 80-90% accurate list, we can give you a really good idea of the price. We will honour the original quoted rates if you need to adjust them later. We require a minimum of 1 week's notice from the collection date on any reductions, and all increases are subject to available space on the truck. We will never accept items if it means we are unable to fulfil another customer-booked job.

How much is PRE-Packing

Pre-pack or pack your breakables, etc., into boxes.

Pre-packing costs do vary depending on precisely what you need. You can typically expect to pay between $25.00 and $30.00 per box. ( price includes all materials, boxes, tape, etc.)
